The Resistance

Forget album of the month, forget album of the year this is album of the decade.

Muse have really outdone all expectations. The album starts as brilliantly as it ends. Anyone who has dipped in or out of muse or are hardcore fans like myself will love this album. It has the alternative rock we all love with classical and this time they have thrown in something new. The album excels on all levels. Its got what we love from the prevoius albums and MUCH more. The whole album has a more upbeat yet serouis fealing.

Starting with Uprising and what a way to start. This song shows the true emotiveness about the whole album. With one of the most weird yet brilliant videos of any song i have ever heard. Mathew Bellamy really gets to show of his skills in this song. As well as all this there is the catchy lyrics which i think is based around political control "They will not force. They will stop degrading us. They will not control us. We will be victorous." and this seems to be the theme through out the album as one of the songs speaks about war and its promises only to go on and on.

The resistance. The second song album but in know way second best. Its instrumental into really sets the song up. Again anther muse classic which really shows of Mathews Amazing voice. This is another emotive song with another memorably chorus. What this song is best is the contrast of instumental and vocal. With a slow emotive verse and the alternative rock chorus we all love.

Undisclosed desires the third and most abnormall song in the album. It has an r'n'b feal to it. It does this as well as keeping in the same alternetive rock seamlessly. If this song doesn't grab your attention and make you want to sing along then clearly you have a problem. Each verse chorus is as we have come to expect from this album FLAWLESS. Muse have really taken the boat and pushed it out with this song.

United states of Eurasia is a queen inspired song with the muse twist. And like all the rest of the songs its suprerb. If you thought something was missing from the album then this would be it and boy did they pull it off. This song is based around the wars which i mentioned earlyer. This song proves that the album doesn't go in order of Amazingness simply the order in which contrast best suits and ater listening to the r'n'b Undiscoled desires this really brings you back to the clasical muse.

Guiding light. Well this is one of the best muse classic on the album with all of the best bits from other albums such as black holes and revelation with the new added twist of the album. All of the songs are so thought prevoking and this is no exeption. With amazing vocals and guitar solos this will never get old.

Unatural selection. This song has it all, the classic, the rock the catchy and of course there new album angle. If this song was the bar of which all over songs are measured then expect AMAZING things. Like the amazing vocals of the other songs this will not fail to dis-appoint and keep you wanting more Muse.

MK Ultra. The name says it all really. Now i don't know what is meant by the name exactly but i expect that, following the theme of the album, it has relevance to political incorrectness of today. This song has one of the best guitar rifs ever.

I Belong to You. The most catchy intros in the whole album you cant help but click along. The whole song has a real feal good attidude and still keeps the seroiusness of the rest of the songs. This song really shows how a song can chear you up while making you think. Contains some other launguage??

Exogenesis: Part 1,2 and 3. These are simply an amazing end to an amazing album consisting of the most amazing instrumental and equally amazing lyrics to coninside.

I never really took this whole reveiwing thing serouisly but i have been criticized. : 9/10
